TM "Priroda" is registred by NPP Suzirja that is a leading successful family-owned company operating at pet business in Ukraine since 1992 years.
The multi-vector company’s activity covers three main directions: distribution of leading European brands, Private label manufacturing and operation of biggest national retail chain.
The business started from the small retail outlet that occupied an area of 6 sq. m. at City Central Cinema in 1992 and In 1994 the company already started its first importing activity from Poland.
Today the company is official distributor for leading European brands such as Tetra, Trixie Juwel, Vitakraft, Hagen, Rettenmayer, Hunter, Canina pharma, Gimborn, Flexi, AquaMedic, AquaEl, Tropical and some others(totally 25 brands) where most of which under exclusive conditions.
1997 the own production of cereal food for birds and small animals was set up under the brand Priroda, ( “Nature” in English) and now we manufacture more than 1000 different items including plastic feeding bawls, aquariums, small animal food, cushions and scratching trees.
Today the company has more than 400 employees, warehouse facilities of 3 500 m2 and an office area of 700 m2. It operates a range of 12 000 items including 1000 of own production.
16 sales people with regional responsibility work with customers from certain delivery routes and totally provide service to more than 1000 customers. The sales are also being stimulated by active marketing of the company, where besides standard marketing tools Suzirja has its own National TV program about pets keeping which is broadcasting in 9 regions of Ukraine.
Having started as a small retailer, the company saved this activity even after becoming one of the most significant suppliers of the national pet market. The own shops are situated in 3 main big cities: Kiev (the capital), Kharkiv and Dnepropetrovsk. But after starting in the year 2006 the franchising program for “MasterZoo” chain the number of shops and their geography has extended significantly. Totally today Suzirja’s retail chain accounts 32 shops in 11 cities where of 12 under franchising conditions. The recent trend of successful retailing are rent spaces at brand new shopping molls which are booming now in Ukraine and when the company receives an offer from the region where it has a successful and reliable retailing partner it forwards the agreement to local player under franchising conditions.
